WAKEBOARD FOR A GOOD CAUSE
The unexpected death of Julie Sassenrath shocked many people. Julie and her husband Joe were Northern California Representatives for Hyperlite Wakeboards, HO Skis and Accurate Ski Lines. To help the family with this tragic loss, Launch Wakeboarding School is donating half of all proceeds from a three-day event to a trust fund established for her two children Jodi-6, and Jake-4. The event will run from August 20th through August 22nd on Folsom Lake.
Julie was an avid wakeboarder who passed away from a brain tumor on December 10th 2001. She is well know in the wakeboard and water-ski industry, and has played an especially key role in the growth of wakeboarding on the West Coast. She was known for her high energy, athletic abilities and outstanding salesmanship. It has been a difficult year for her family and friends, but she will always be remembered as a beautiful, outgoing, and caring woman.
Launch Wakeboarding School is proud to help out the family. The owner, Ryan Fraser has been friends with the Sassenrath family for almost six years and was deeply moved by Julie’s death. Our prayers go out to the family, friends, and anyone else that has lost someone close to them.
