Some of the companies donating prizes are big names like
Hyperlite, Liquid Force, Reef, Newt Juice, Larson Marine,
Boarders Paradise, Water-ski World and many more. There will
be prizes given away for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers,
while the rest of the prizes will be raffled off. The entry
fee to ride in the contest is $20 and raffle tickets will be
going for $1. All proceeds from the entry fee and the raffle
tickets will go to the Mike Copithorne Charity Fund.
Mike was one of wakeboarding’s best riders who was paralyzed
in an accident in 2001. He is well known in the wakeboarding
industry to be the friendly guy with huge tricks. Mike was
working on finding a pro sponsorship when he was paralyzed
from the waist down in a snowboarding accident. He has
recovered amazingly well since the accident but may never
regain the feeling in his legs. Despite the hurtles Mike has
had to face; he is in high spirits and has the same positive
outlook on life.
