Ryan Shreve - 08/30/79 to 10/27/03
 

Ryan Shreve is a local wakeboarder who past away from medical complications after a wakeboarding accident on October 2nd. Ryan is known by everyone as a really nice guy and an excellent wakeboarder. He was always smiling and carried with him a very positive attitude towards life. Ryan frequently entered local tournaments and is know by most of the riders in our area. When he was not wakeboarding, he was doing what he loved most - working as a fire fighter in El Dorado Hills (which is only five minutes from Folsom Lake). His accident is very tragic and it has affected so many people. It is amazing how many people have showed their support for Ryan and truly care.

About Ryan's funeral service:
Ryan's service took place on Sunday the 2nd of November at the Lake Tahoe Christian Fellowship Church in South Lake Tahoe. The turnout was amazing and I am guessing there were 1,000 to 1,500 people that attended to show their support. There were numerous heartwarming speeches from family members and friends as well as two videos about Ryan's life. It really hit home when people were talking about the risk involved in extreme sports and how they can be life threatening. Ryan's death was very tragic but he is still in everyone's hearts and will never be forgotten. Thanks to all that helped out and showed their support.
